Memories:
Kelt, Meakin and Price had formed Powercraze in the wake of the Punk revolution that reached sleepy North Warwickshire in the summer of ‘78 but had struggled to secure the services of a good bass player until it was suggested that his then girlfriend's brother Rob Hamilton should take a stab at it. Heavily influenced by Black Sabbath, Free and AC/DC the band played a mixture of rock standards and self-penned numbers, performing at least two gigs, one at the Chequers in Hopwas and the last at the George Elliot Hotel in Nuneaton. All band members were still at school at the time - the loss of their usual transport due to a drink driving offence on the return from The George Elliot effectively finished off the bands embryonic development but all four members continued to be part of the local scene appearing in Trojan, Exodus, Pegasus, The Me and Quark.
